FiveW Capital LLC is a private investment firm led by Randall Winn. Prior to founding FiveW, Randall was co-managing partner and ultimately CEO/executive managing director of Capital IQ, a leading provider of intelligence for global financial professionals; he co-managed the business from inception in 1999 through 2011, including a sale to McGraw Hill. Previous to his tenure at Capital IQ, Randall worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. in Corporate Finance and the Principal Investment Area and then at Saunders Karp & Megrue, a middle market private equity firm.
FiveW seeks to leverage the operational experience and relationships developed by the team at Capital IQ as part of its investment process and post-investment support. Drawing upon operational, entrepreneurial and investment experience, FiveW can assist company executives by helping recruit talent, offering M&A and partnership advice, and supporting other operational elements critical to the success of its portfolio companies.
